Ten years ago, Survivors of the Cootamundra Domestic Training Home for Aboriginal Girls 1912-1969 met at the Marque Hotel Sydney. Together they drafted the All One Statement, outlining their support needs and aspirations for their own Stolen Generations Organisation.

August 10, 2020 marks the 10th anniversary of the creation of the ‘All One’ Statement.

The ‘All One’ Statement, our foundation document, was drafted by thirty-two Coota Girls. It was created to guide their self-determination and collective decision- making as they seek to address their social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing needs and those of their families and descendants.

The All One Statement informs Coota Girls Aboriginal Corporation’s work today, and it will continue to inform our work into the future.

As we reflect on the last 10 years, we remember those who sadly are no longer with us. We can also be proud of how far we have come and the goals we have achieved.

We would like to acknowledge their strength and resilience as we continue on this healing journey together.
